Since 19 March 2020, all classes have been delivered in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). We had hoped that we would return to face-to-face classes by July 2021. Given the continuing international border closures, recurring local lockdowns and restrictions with the delays in the roll-out of the vaccines we provide the following update:
On-campus full services and classes for most current courses will not return until 1 July 2022.
- All current courses will be delivered in VLE mode indefinitely, with a transition on a course-by-course basis to a “Hybrid Learning Environment” (HLE) mode for technique intensive skill sets from Term 3, 2021.
- Depending on prevailing health advice, from Term 3, 2021 until 30 June 2022, on-campus HLE activities will be offered as an “option” on a course-by-course and campus-by-campus basis to enhance the learning experience. For all courses, current course progress requirements can continue to be met by participating in VLE mode only, up to 30 June 2022. You will hear from us with detailed information of on-campus activities so please regularly check your APC student email account for updates.
- Depending on prevailing Government advice, some other on-campus activities such as student conferences and social events will be planned for the rest of 2021.
- Access to campus facilities will continue via the Campus Access Request (CAR) registration and subject to change without notice depending on Government advice.
We are doing our utmost to enhance your learning experience, but the ongoing challenges with COVID-19 mean we will all have to be patient and understand that planned activities can be changed or cancelled with very little notice.
