To prepare you for your studies, there are some materials and equipment that you need to have ready for your first day of class.
For you to be successful in your studies, you will need the following pattern making and sewing equipment. We understand the cost of these materials and so we have provided a number of options for you to choose according to your financial situation.
Ensure you purchase this equipment prior to the first day of term.
- Fashion Workroom Equipment Kit - $245 + Shipping
This kit has been specially designed for APC and includes the basic kit of equipment you will need.
If you already have some of these items then you do not need to purchase the kit however please check the list to make sure you have all the necessary equipment. You can purchase any outstanding items you need through Fashion Workroom. You can purchase additional items from the Fashion Workroom during your course. i.e. Calico and Pattern Making paper.

It is normal to spend between $100-$400 on a mannequin.

- Threads as needed
Usually to match chosen fabrics. Can be bought at the same time and place as the fabric.

- Design and theory subjects
To get started, you will require:
- A3 sketch book
- Pens, markers, paints, watercolours, colour pencils etc.
- A3 plastic sleeve folder
